In 2017, while Tom Kannally was preparing for a long trip to visit his son Kevin, who was in the Navy, many people told them to be careful not to lose their wallets or worse, watch out for pickpockets. Tom shopped extensively in stores and on the internet and could not find anything that he liked or that made sense. Buying expensive clothing wasn’t his style and awkward feeling as he could not put his hands in his pockets due to the design. Other personal security items available would be difficult to try to manage access in public. There was nothing out there that appealed to him. Does this sound familiar to you?
When Tom returned from the trip, he decided it was time to do something about this. In November of 2017, he came up with the idea for this anti-theft pocket insert. In February 2021, this became design patented and on February 8, 2022, became utility patented. Meanwhile, he and Kevin and close family friends have been using them for well over three years. The results have been very good and now we are making what is now Covert Pocket, available to everyone.
